Great Customer Service

Just this morning I had a horrible experience with customer service. It was with a certain post office which will remain unnamed. They attempted to deliver a package when no one was home and left a slip saying that they would attempt a redelivery within the ex-few days. Needless to say they did not deliver it and I had to spend time on the phone arguing with an automated operator until I could get a real person one the line. After much ado I got the number to the actual post office which had the package. This is the fun starts.

I get on the phone and after a long holding period a very disgruntled women get on the line. She asked me “what I want” and lets me speak for about ten seconds then cuts me off mind sentence and unloads an abusive tirade about how I could think that the post office could make a mistake and how it was my fault and how of course they have my package if it was not delivered, as though I should have known that.

I am really tempted to go on about how absolutely discussing and unpleasant this phone call was, it literally cause this bad mood, but I know that it’s not right to make you go through my troubles and annoyances as I’m sure you have you own. So I will get to the point.

I needed a pick me up because of this customer service fiasco and had to stop myself thinking abusive thought about all customer service people in the world. So I thought about an experience I had a few weeks back when shopping for mannequins online.

I called the number on the website because I could not find what I was looking for. The person, mike, on the other end was so pleasant! He was cheerful and exited to help me. He told me how to look for what I needed (and adjustable mannequin) and showed me how to navigate through the relevant items they had. I never thought that buying a display mannequin could be so enjoyable! I hung up that phone call feeling great bout the mannequins I bought and about myself! (If you could believe it)

What is important to remember is that for every negative or challenging experience there are countless good and pleasant ones. And regardless of the bad times there are always the good ones to focus on.
