A Funny Way to Serve Your Guests
For those husbands out there who simply pay the bills and enjoy the party when it happens, you guys don’t know the half of what goes into preparing an outstanding party. From your prospective its all about setting up tables and in some cases (if your wife or girlfriend really knows how to make you work) you wind up pealing some vegetables for a homemade salad. But gentlemen, I call upon you today to try to take a moment to understand what actually goes into making a good party.
The truth of the matter is that I can sum it up in one word; theme. That is without question the most important part of a party. Now to be fair, not every party that you are going to make requires you to decorate your whole house, but creating a good party means more than just picking out the right colors for the napkins and the plates. It means creating an environment.
This could mean moving around the furniture in some extreme cases and simply cleaning the place up in others. But that is not all I’m going to share with you today. Understanding that a lot more that meets the eye goes into making a good part is just something that I, and I’m sure many other women would really appreciate if our men would understand that when making a party there are far many more important things to us the a bowl of chips.
But for those women out there who have been reading this article I have a really cool idea that I just did for my thirteen year old son’s birthday.
I went online and rented some mannequins, four to be exact. (I know that this sounds expensive but I actually found some really great prices.) I set them up around the living room and dining room and had them holding the kids favorite treats. I also had them wearing my son’s favorite team jerseys. (He loves sports) it was such a cool party! The kids thought I was so funny and their parents were so inspired by my creativity.
Using the mannequins in a creative way was not my idea, my husband came up with it, so I feel like I must give credit were credit is due. Men; parties are complicated, and women; never give up on finding a good idea.
